The Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed (All Souls)

Wis 3:1-9
"The souls of the just are in the hand of God,
and no torment shall touch them.
They seemed, in the view of the foolish, to be dead;
and their passing away was thought an affliction
and their going forth from us, utter destruction.
But they are in peace.
 For if before men, indeed, they be punished,
yet is their hope full of immortality;
chastised a little, they shall be greatly blessed,
because God tried them
and found them worthy of himself.
 As gold in the furnace, he proved them,
and as sacrificial offerings he took them to himself.
In the time of their visitation they shall shine,
and shall dart about as sparks through stubble;
they shall judge nations and rule over peoples,
and the Lord shall be their King forever.
Those who trust in him shall understand truth,
and the faithful shall abide with him in love:
because grace and mercy are with his holy ones,
and his care is with his elect."

I will carry your blessed Katie in my heart ~ now, as Keenan & I go to walk at Bronswood, and later tonight at the Mass of Remembrance. The candles Dave and I light will be for Erin and for all those we hold dear.

Love,
Mary

No one dies who lives in our memories. She is my heart because you put her there and there she stays for as long as I am here.
And when I go, because I do believe that no matter what we call our faith, we - those who followed the golden rules that is - we shall all be in the same place on the other side of the veil.

And she will be there and we will meet, and hug and compare notes about The Devil Wears Prada.

Love to you dear as I light a candle to QuanYin in Katie's memory.

God bless Erin, Jack, Renee, Josh, Joey, Sarah, Signe, and all those we love - those whose names I know, and those whose names I don't know, but God knows. They are in His loving care. XOXOXOXO to all of you who are missing them!

Your Katie...so full of joy in the photos you share! I am touched each time when I see them....

Today I thought of my fathers..my birth father and the man who was such a kind and gentle grandfather and father as well. I miss him dearly. Today has brought up many memories that these men left.

Take care and a hug is sent to you.

I always love seeing pictures of your beautiful Katie. I hope you were able to spend some time today just remembering the joy she brought to your life, while keeping the sadness of her loss out of your heart. At least for a while.
