An Open Conduit

"I do not pretend to understand the ways of God any more than the next man; but it is surely more fitting as well as more sensible for us to study what God does do and what He does not do as He works in and through the complex fabric of this disintegrated world, than to postulate what we think God ought to do and then feel demoralized and bitterly disappointed because He fails to fulfill what we expect of Him." ... J. B. Phillips, "Making Men Whole"

A "constant theme in Jesus: The coherence between what you have consciously received and what you can pass on. We are divine conduits that must be open at both ends."
- Richard Rohr

These two quotes are good indicators of my world view these days.

I woke up this morning remembering Katie. She will always be tied into my rememberance of the trip back from our honeymoon. You know that already. We talked to her on this day last year while we were way up in the skies. You, Gregg, David, Latte, Liger, and all of your family, are wrapped in our thoughts.

Peace be with Katie my friend.

XOXO

Those quotes are just beautiful. Helpful, too, so thank you for being an open conduit to me.

Your daughter is so precious. I find myself missing her too and I only know her through what you have shared. Your family is very special, and you have endured much with faith and courage. My prayers for you all on this most precious day.

You have a wonderful world view dear friend.

I love the family pictures on top. I think that your son is your twin and Katie looks like both a combo of you and her Dad.

You have a beautiful family and a beautiful soul.

I am totally in love with you.

Love Renee xoxo

Beautiful quotes. I sort of prayed to you, the other day, Karen. When I felt particularly challenged. I saw you, standing near me and felt comforted. Thank you.

And I LOVE that fat baby in the picture.

I just realized what day it is. What day it is, what day it is. Love and strength and hope and courage and the washing away of sorrow to you and your family, dear Karen.
