This weekend, we enjoyed all of those things.
Liger demonstrates a nap (under a rose bush, in the dirt, for some reason):
David and Latte, spending time together (look at those BLUE eyes):
a salad filled with good things, grown in my parents' garden (including edible flowers, one of my favorite ingredients):
my parents.
I had the pleasure of taking walks & a nap with Gregg, playing catch with David, having my parents over for dinner, worshiping with friends at Mass, and visiting with them afterward, over coffee.
I received the wonderful news of a new friend's spontaneous remission from cancer, celebrated a graduation with family and friends, and enjoyed the sunshine & the view from our deck.
I hope you had a good weekend, too.

Sounds amazing and peaceful and full of love. I'm grateful that you had this great weekend. Liger and Achilles would have had fun battling for the coolest dirt patch to take a nap in. I love your cats.
Edible flowers are seriously good. In Afghanistan, we'd climb up the mountain a bit and gather snow into a mortar and crush flower petals into it...mostly rose petals, but others worked also. Sprinkled sugar on top of the snow & flower concoction and voila! Homemade "ice cream". It was soooo good.
Sounds like a full weekend! Glad you had some quiet time with a nap in there too!
Ok KBL's ice cream concoction sounds sooooo cool! How fun that must have been to make that sweet treat. Screw Breyer's, I want to climb a mountain!
Your description is just perfect...a delightful weekend indeed.
Not sure why cats or dogs like dirt, they just do. Annoying? Yes? Can we sway them away from dirt? NO.
I have not had edible flowers in years....love all the pictures. Take care, suz
Your weekend sounds like heaven! Today is my first official day of summer vacation, so I'm looking forward to a few weekends like this!
