Katie's Bench, Part 2

Here is a great gift: my friend Kathleen and her oldest son, Gunnar, sat on Katie's bench and took a photo. They emailed it to me, and it is posted here. Kathleen's (and her husband, Bob's) younger son, Hayden, had a brain tumor as a little boy, and passed away 9 years ago. Kathleen taught me a lot about this journey before I ever dreamed I would be on it myself.

If you want to take a photo of yourself on Katie's bench and email it to me, go for it. I would love to make a collection of them.

I just found your blog. I lost my son to cancer this past August. He was seven. I love the bench idea. I would love to do something like this in a specific park in my town. I hope I can get it done - you've got me thinking about it again.

Thanks for sharing - I find it so helpful to read blog of other moms who have lost a child.

What a wonderful idea about the bench as well as collecting photos of friends and family on or around the bench.
