Today I received my favorite kind of gift: a day spent with my son, at the beach. It was my belated birthday gift (David was busy when Gregg gave me a similar present, in June). David is working 5 to 6 days a week and taking a summer school class, so days with him are a rare gift, indeed. I am very thankful that he chose to spend this day with me; it means so much!
It was misty the entire time we walked, but we didn't mind. Four miles out and four miles back, with a picnic in the middle and a lot of conversation. Heaven on earth.
We even saw a red poppy; I often see orange poppies, but rarely the red ones!
Thank you, David!
