I removed word verification this week, for you, so you know I did listen to your request, and tried to honor it.
Unfortunately, I can't keep up with the horrendous, daily quantity of SPAM advertisements for things - medical products, sports jerseys, drugs, toys, things I can't repeat here - that are now inundating me, so I have put it back on. I agree that Blogger's new format makes it difficult to read the words, but you can always request another set to verify. Or just email me, if it gets to be too tedious.
I wish I didn't have to put it back on, but those time-wasters are getting to me. So you'll all have to "prove you're not a robot," if you want to leave a comment here.

Karen, thanks for giving me "permission" to put my word ver back on. I can't take the spam anymore, either! ARGH!
I did the same thing.
I am wondering if you have the updated version of blogger....
Spam never makes it through to me...it goes right to the spam file.
