"Thanks a Million"

...that's what the note from the Ben Towne Foundation said this morning.
The BENefit on Friday raised $900,000 and a check in that amount was delivered yesterday to Seattle Children's Hospital's Center for Childhood Cancer Research.
That brings the total given to pediatric cancer research by the Ben Towne Foundation in 2011 to
ONE MILLION DOLLARS.
$1,000,000 given directly to research.
Thank you, Carin & Jeff, and all of the donors!
I think Ben, Katie, Jenna, Carter & Zachary must all be cheering in heaven
(and thanks to everyone for your kind comments about the video in the post below.)

The foundation just posted this new video:

Terrific news! My favorite line in the video was "It's not a matter of if we're going to be curing children's cancer over the years to come, it's when." From Dr. Jensen's lips to God's ears.

A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! I look forward to hearing all the wonderful ground breaking developments in research/treating childhood cancer. I just *know* there has to be a different way to treat pediatric cancers (and all cancers), rather than 'poisoning' these precious patients. I was delighted to see this :)
