I commented over at Hopeful Parents. Wanted you to know. So excited about all the good things that are happening in the world of pediatric cancer. You are making such a difference with your life and your suffering. I am kind of in awe of you!!
I understand... about how you want to remember Katie and all the beauty she brought to your life, about how you want to talk about all the fun things you did with her and the places you shared... and I understand the unfulfilled dreams of what could have been... what SHOULD BE. The date of birth is such a bittersweet day, and emotions run all over the place in our family, too. I would be the talker of the bunch here as well. I guess I'm learning we all have to do what feels right, and reactions are as individual as our personalities. It helps that we had the blood drive on Erin's birthday last year and will do so again this year. It's a positive focus.Thank you for sharing Katie with us, Karen, and thank you for all your efforts on behalf of those of us who grieve for our beloved children.Sending love your way.
