On Friday night, as some brave Mommas who I am blessed to know (Heide & Kelly) gathered in Los Angeles to show their bald heads and solidarity for pediatric cancer patients on Stand Up 2 Cancer,
other friends gathered in the Seattle Sheraton Hotel for the launch of the Ben Towne Foundation.
I've mentioned Ben and his parents, Carin and Jeff, here in connection with Dr. Mike Jensen, who has recently come to Seattle to head the Center for Childhood Cancer at Seattle Children's Hospital's Research Institute. Carin & Jeff's new foundation helped to attract Dr. Jensen to Seattle. Friday night was the official launch party. If you want to read about hope, it's HERE.
And here is a video
Ben Towne Foundation - COME ON EVERYBODY from More Dust Than Digital on Vimeo.
that was played after Carin, Jeff and Dr. Jensen eloquently, powerfully and clearly stated why they are doing this.
This is officially Pediatric Cancer Day (the 13th)
in Pediatric Cancer Month (September).
What can you do to move things forward toward a cure?
As Ben said, "Come On, Everybody!"

I'm so sorry I missed this amazing event but will try to watch the video over time. It must have been deeply emotional for you to see it all, Karen.
