Hiking Mt. Catherine

A few weeks ago, we went for a day hike in the Cascade Mountains with my brother, Jim, and sister-in-law, Caroline. It was a short and steep hike up Mt. Catherine. Though I tend to prefer beach hikes, this one was a great family outing, and it's very pretty.

Jim brought his camera, and David took a photo of us (the older generation) at the summit.
Can you see the family resemblance between Jim and me?
 Of course you can.

This is the "official last week of summer" at our house. I hope you enjoy yours!

obviously, you old people should not attempt something of such a trying nature...much better at your advanced age to simply sit on the couch and press the remote.

Love the photo and one particular person there. Slowly moving around Blogland and my first stop is here.
Blueberry pie coming up and I wish you were here, we could sit outside and talk ourselves silly. Love to you dear Karen.
