Congratulations, NKHS Class of 2010!

Get it? The scoreboard shows 20-10.
They did it - they lined up and waited, and filed in two-by-two.
David stood up to be recognized as an honor graduate (far left, middle row, silver tassel),

filed out to line up again (past the photographer) and walked across that stage,
shook hands, and received his diploma...
then walked back, sat down, and saw his friends (here is Johanna) get their diplomas.
He threw his cap in the air with the others
and then we congregated to congratulate him and his friends.
Now they're off for a chaperoned, all-night, grad party-cruise.
Congratulations,
N.K.H.S Class of 2010!

How awesome! Congratulations, David! Even though it's been 25 years, I remember that awesome, heady feeling.... your entire future stretches before you like a vast plain of possibility! (And it IS!)

(And congrats Karen and Gregg... a job well done!) :)

Thank you all for the well-wishes to our grad.
Irene - thank you. It's from Talbots, one of my favorite stores for "classic" clothes.
Cassandra, it was the largest class in years - 370 students! We were very fortunate that it didn't rain.

Thanks for letting us tag along to graduation. Now that I know you Gbergers, it's such a treat to see David's story unfold. You've got a big smile on your face but I couldn't help but think what a happy/sad day graduation is for parents! It's so hard to let go of one phase and move to the next, but we must. It's the way of life. Fortunately, it's almost completely, totally happy for the grads, though, and that's what makes it fun. Congrats to you all and please pat David on the back for a job very well done! Bravo to the class of 2010!
