Good "Guild News"

The most recent issue (Winter 2010) of Seattle Children's Hospital's "Guild News" arrived in the mail today. On the second page is an article about Katie's Comforters Guild, including a color photo of our quilts. I don't have an online link, so I scanned my copy:

Thanks to the Editor, Keith Mack, for writing the piece and sharing the news about our Guild.

Guild Members, please look for your copy in the mail!

And thank you to you and the people like you that donate their time in dear Katies' memory and make life better for other children.

Katie's Comforters guild has fresh meaning to me today. We have very dear friends whose baby Kaia(9 days old) is in the Seattle Children's Hospital awaiting a heart transplant. They are staying in the Ronald McDonald House, too--places made familiar to me thru your blog. Perhaps one of Katie's quilts will wrap them in warmth and comfort, too. Bless you for your gift to so many. Talk about making beauty from ashes...

I love all this attention the Guild is getting. You are so wonderful -- really and truly graceful and wonderful.

This warms my heart , because it does yours.
I've been thinking about looking into what similar things are offered in our area.

You are wonderful, a living tribute to your daughter's spirit and brief, yet full, life here with us. I wish I'd met her.

Sweet Karen why don't you join us and you can be gypsy number 14 and lead us around your well loved France.

You and I can sit side by side with Jacquie and tell stories of real love.
