HAPPY BIRTHDAY, KATIE!

Happy Birthday, Sweetheart!

Kathryn Emilie Gerstenberger
born on Wednesday, March 8, 1995
6 pounds, 9 ounces
18.5 inches long

We hope that you are filled with joy (like in this photo of your first-ever laugh).

I'd love to see this smile again:
(even though that was "the party from h*ll" -- I remember that Daddy wanted to send everyone home!).
I'd love to sing "Happy Birthday to You," and to hear you laughing, watch you make a wish & blow out your candles.
We wish that you were here, so we could celebrate your special day with you, and the gift of YOU.
We love you!

Happy birthday to Katie indeed. Congratulations to you and Greg for giving her so much love from the day she was born. I hope today is full of good memories, even if they make you sad.

It's amazing what an impact Katie had on the world in her short stay here! Her beauty, poise, courage, and of course, sassiness will never be forgotten!

Happy Birthday Katie! I'm wishing you rainbow colors in your hair!

Thinking of you all today -- and hoping Katie finds a way to let you know she's celebrating with you.

I hope you were able to find a way to celebrate with Katie even though she is not physically here! I don't know what the weather is like in Washington but here in CT we had the most amazingly beautiful day and I thought of Katie :)

I don't know if I mentioned before that I'm doing my read-a-thon project again this year, and it actually starts tomorrow-- kind of neat that it is the day after her birthday! She is one of the many reasons I do this project :)

Thinking of you!!

HAPPY HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY KATIE!!! You continue to touch many peoples lives, I think that you and your mother are a HUGE BLESSING and that God knows what He is doing though at times it doesnt make sense to us. I pray for a special sense of peace for you Karen, and Katie, my wish for you is that your wings are fitting extra perfectly for you, that they are shining even brighter than they already are sweet girl!

Karen, I am guilty of never introducing myself, and though my testimony is a long one, I will share it soon! I love your blog, I read it reguraly, it makes me laugh and cry, and I think you are wonderful in SO MANY WAYS!!
