This sailed by our house yesterday.
It was such a beautiful sight.
The Wooden Boat Festival, held in Port Townsend, is coming up in September. We love to go and look at the craftsmanship that makes these boats unique, walk the docks, tour the boats that are open to the public, and see the historic vessels. It's such a fun crowd, and they usually have an art fair in town at the same time.
Gregg is not in any way a builder, or even a "fix-it" kind of guy (right, Angela?), yet he subscribes to Wooden Boat magazine (I call it his version of Playboy). The boats featured in there are works of art.
I like that guy. He has style.

Those boats are a work of art...quite the craftmanship.
Great pictures....great view.
There is something about sail boats that inspire peacefulness and beauty. Classic. Like your statement about being someone's playboy. definently more classy!
Cute!
Karen,
I think I want to come live on your porch. Could I do that?
:-)
What a view you have! I really truly would spend all my time out there. Just lovely. "Tranquility" is the word that comes to mind....
Glad that you enjoyed the view, but you'd get cold and wet on our porch in the "other" seasons, HWHL. You are right, though: the view is priceless. We NEVER take it for granted. We're looking at it right now.
Beautiful photos!

A Seattle afternoon in the summer is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen...I love that place in the summer!
