Happy Halloween to you!
Gregg was a skier for Halloween this year. Sort of.
Actually, he picked up his new skis and boots at the sports store. Then we went out for a beer and a bite to eat. Gregg tried on his skis and boots at home, and David took photos.
They are both getting pretty excited for ski season to start. The new Warren Miller ski movie is coming to our area in two weeks, and then it will be officially “game on!” for skiers. It's beautiful to see the Olympic mountains with their first dusting of snow of the season. I’m so glad that David and Gregg are going to be able to enjoy this sport together. It’s a thrill for David, and Gregg hasn’t bought new skis for YEARS…as in 30 years. So it should be really fun for them.
And me...I was a cat-lover for Halloween. But, then, I’m a cat-lover every day, so it’s not much of a costume. Just add Latte and Liger!
I hope you had a happy Halloween. Remember to FALL BACK tonight!
Happy Halloween to you! Those pictures of you are so adorable. You look absolutely terrific -- like a young girl...
ReplyDeleteHappy Halloween to you too. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat hanging out with you tonight! I got the Laverne and Shirley videos up. Gregg looks great on his skis!
ReplyDeleteI was invited to two Halloween parties and I wasn't going to go until the last minute ~ then, I had to think of a fast costume! I was lame and went as Sarah Palin ~ but I was called a flight attendant and a librarian. =] L.
ReplyDeleteHow exciting for Gregg to have new skis!!! I bet they really enjoy this sport, something we have never come close to doing. Although Lo told me yesterday she wants to learn how to snow board...I told her good luck with that.
ReplyDeleteLove your cat pictures...you all look so happy!!!!
Skis aren't cuddly like cats--you had the better costume!
ReplyDeleteToo cute... I can't even imagine having consistent snow nearby, much less skiing. How wonderful for them. The pics are cute... I like to see his smiling face. : )
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, I think you dress up as a cat lover every day... and if you're like me, you've got the cat hair on your clothes to prove it! lol
Beautiful cat. Beautiful Karen.
ReplyDeleteHi, Karen! I'm catching up on your blog; it's been too long. I'm back in the Bay Area and teaching 8th grade. I loved the post about David and Neiman-Marcus! He looks great. Hugs to all of you!

Hello Karen, this is a secret, please.
ReplyDeleteJulie Ann of Heavenleighart.blogspot.com and kj of www.karenjasper.blogspot.com are conspiring to send our beloved Renee a holiday “We-Treasure-You” Chest from her devoted blog friends. The idea is that anyone who wants to can send a special gift or card to kj and everything will be mailed in one box., filled to the brim with our handmade presents, art, tokens, cards, store bought gifts-- whatever you would like to give. What ever it is will hopefully give Renee a wonderful surprise and let her know how much she means to all of us over the holidays and always.
If you would like to participate please email kj at karenjasper@comcast.net and she’ll send you her mailing address. We’re thinking your gift should not be much larger than a cigar box or if flat 11 x 14 if possible, so we can fit everything into one big box for shipping. If you just want to send a card, that is totally fine and you know it will be so appreciated! (If you also want to send something for Jacquie, that is great too).
We’re thinking everything should reach kj no later than December 1st. She will plan to mail the We-Treasure-You Chest to Renee the first week in December.
We’re excited just thinking of her opening her treasure chest and finding expressions of love from so many of us!
P.S. We're sending this out or leaving messages on people's blogs over a week's time. But feel free to spread the word just in case we miss anyone. . Everyone is totally welcome to be part of this.
